  1. The environment is harmed from diamond mining by the release of greenhouse gases that can create climate change. The greenhouse gases are created due to the release of emissions from machines and industries. The environment is also damaged by the amounts of water used to mine for diamonds. If the water is polluted and is returned back into the environment this affects all humans, vegetation, and animals that get water from this source.

  2. Diamond mining benefits humans because it provides a lot of jobs which includes cutting, polishing, mining, and more jobs to the people who work within jewelry manufacturers. This helps benefit our economy and people who need money and jobs.
Diamond mining also funds the rising HIV pandemic by offering counseling, testing, education, and treatment. This benefits the African peoples health by lowering the risk of people spreading HIV.
